My name is Amy, and I love knitting! I grew up and currently live in Massachusetts and consider myself a true New Englander. I find that living in a cold climate and knitting go hand in hand, so the name “NE Knits” was born!

I learned to knit when I was 10 years old from a friend at school. I have been in love with the craft ever since! Since then I have also picked up crocheting, but 9 times out of 10 you’ll find me with metal knitting needles in hand.

I currently love knitting garments, whether they be plain stockinette or full of cables and lace. My favorite fibers to work with are merino, mohair, and suri alpaca. I love deep reds, blues, pinks, and purples, so expect those colors a lot in my projects!

I currently work full time as a systems engineer but spend my time outside work knitting, filming videos, cooking, and gardening. I live just outside Boston with my husband Nick.
